The Fruit & Spice Park, located just outside of Miami, has the distinction of being the only tropical botanical garden of its kind in the country. The park is a unique public facility on 37 acres and is owned and operated by the Miami-Dade County Park and Recreation Department.
South Florida’s tropical climate is unique to the continental United States, which allows the Park to be host to over 500 varieties of fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, and nuts, and other commercially important plant specimens from around the world – most of which cannot be found or grown elsewhere in the country. Especially showcased in the Park are 150 varieties of mango, 75 banana varieties, 70 types of bamboo, and countless other exotic edibles.
Visitors are invited to munch at our tasting counter inside our Park Store or enjoy lunch at the Mango Cafe.
